Positioned in proximity to his residence, the memorial's spaces are thoughtfully defined, each encapsulating a thematic essence derived from the rich tapestry of elements found in Thakazhi's novels.

The temple is built in the traditional Kerala style architecture, with a sloping roof and a central courtyard. The walls are made of brick and mortar, and the roof is covered with tiles. The temple is bound by a garden, which is home to a set of plants and trees.

The boundaries of the memorial are intricately influenced by the profound narratives woven by the literary maestro.The architectural embodiment of the memorial resonates with Thakazhi's ideology, embracing a humble and authentic expression through the implementation of traditional methods of construction. A contrast was created in using the colour palette with the backwaters of alleppey.

The spaces within reflect the narrative boundaries he traversed in his novels, and the architecture, mirroring his ideologies, becomes a harmonious blend of cultural homage and literary reverence.
